Creating Tramlines at Home

Tramlines, one of the most significant events in the Sheffield social calendar, has unfortunately been cancelled this year. However, fear not – we are here to inspire you to create your very own festival from the comfort of your own home.

Although the real deal won’t be taking place this year, keep the festival spirit alive until next year by bringing Tramlines to your garden this summer, as a fun way to spend time with friends and family. If we’re lucky, we may even get some nice weather too!

◆ We can all agree that music is essential at any festival, and it is pretty challenging to beat the atmosphere of live music. However, the Sonos One Smart Speaker from John Lewis is on hand to help you enjoy your favourite tunes with unrivalled sound quality (just make sure you don’t upset your neighbours!).

◆ Stream the Tramlines 2020 playlist on Spotify to listen to tracks from all the artists originally in the line-up for this year’s event, it will almost feel like you’re there… almost.

◆ To make your festival-themed garden party even more exciting for the kids, try adding this Tipi Tent from Scandiborn to your garden to create your very own den. If you’re feeling particularly jealous of the child-size tipi, this Canvas Tent from Boutique Camping is sure to be big enough for the whole family to enjoy.

◆ Take a break from the madness and relax on this Pink Herringbone Blanket from Mookau, accessorise with a variety of cushions from Futon to make your seating area super cosy.

◆ One for the adults: Thornbridge Brewery have created a beer in collaboration with Tramlines Festival, aptly named ‘In The Park’, with 10% of all sales going to local charities.

Those are all our tips and tricks for now; we hope you enjoy bringing Tramlines to your own garden. Please tag us in your recreations on social media – we would love to see them!

Tramlines has announced that next year’s festival will be taking place 23rd-25th July 2021, so definitely pop this date in your diary.
