We’re always working to give back to the community we serve, so in 2020 we established the Redbrik Foundation to improve the lives of people and communities across South Yorkshire and North East Derbyshire.
The Foundation will support a number of charitable organisations each year, primarily seeking to enhance the lives of children and young people, the elderly or vulnerable and those with disabilities.
For 2020/21, its inaugural year, Redbrik Foundation will primarily be supporting four incredible organisations;
◆ Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity
◆ St. Luke’s Hospice
◆ Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice
◆ Ashgate Hospice
If you’d like to find out more about Redbrik’s work with charities over the years, take a look here.
Committed to building a better future for children, the organisation provides high-quality treatment to the 269,000+ children who visit Sheffield Children’s Hospital every year. Money raised improves not only the children’s treatment but also their experience, funding research, play and entertainment areas, the hospital’s helipad and upkeep of the hospital.
Fairplay is a Chesterfield based charity, offering accessible activities to young people with disabilities and currently supporting over 400 local families. Created by parents of disabled children, their centre now provides an activity hall, outdoor play area, library, sensory room and kitchen. All its facilities were designed for a low environmental impact while improving the social lives and education of the children in need.
St. Luke’s is a hospice for everyone – regardless of age, culture, condition or postcode – with an inviting and tranquil environment and a range of services and activities, provided free of charge. The hospice seeks to improve the lives of those living with terminal illnesses, providing high-quality care, support and compassion to patients and their families.
Bluebell Wood cares for children and young adults whose lives are just too short, offering services both in the families’ homes and at the hospice. The organisation provides space and provisions for families to make precious memories as well as a place to stay for the children and their families should they need to.
Ashgate Hospice provides specialist palliative and end of life care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families across North Derbyshire. The Hospice supports those affected by providing specialist nurses, specialist therapists, healthcare professionals and more.
If you are involved with a charitable organisation and would be interested in support from the Redbrik Foundation, we would love to hear from you.
