Cutlery Works – Restaurant Review

Dubbed ‘Sheffield’s Largest Dining Experience’, Cutlery Works is one of the newest additions to the popular Kelham Island area of the city.

Cutlery Works follows a dining trend which has become increasingly popular over the last few years. Across London, and now more widely in cities all over the UK, we’re seeing more and more unloved public spaces converted into thriving food halls and food courts.

Opened by the Milestone Group in November 2018, the 14,000 sq ft Rutland Cutlery Works building has been transformed into the largest food hall in the North of England. Set over two floors, the industrial-styled space is filled with long, communal tables and a range of traders offering something for all tastes. Whether you’re a meat lover or choose a plant-based lifestyle, you are bound to find something you love.

From tasty Italian street food bites from Fritti, through to hearty pies at Pie Eyed and lighter sushi and sashimi at Edo Sushi, there is a whole world of food outlets to choose from.

We particularly loved the mouth-watering South Indian fare from Ma-Ba, who proudly told us about the recipes which have been handed down through generations from Gujarat.

We’d also highly recommend the delicious Vietnamese dishes on offer at Five Rivers Coffee Co., including build your own Bánh mì and yummy pho.

If you’re feeling particularly indulgent, try the whisky and chocolate pairing at Bullion’s Chocolate Café – you certainly won’t regret it!

Each bar and restaurant has its own identity and unique offering, and the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and fun. There are so many places to try all under the one roof – Cutlery Works is somewhere you’ll want to return to again and again.
